Principal's Message

FEBRUARY 2025

"Dear Bullfrog Families,

As we step into February, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support in making our school a thriving and engaging place for students to learn and grow. This month brings exciting events, important academic milestones, and a reminder to take care of our health during the winter season.

Prioritizing Health & Wellness - With cold and flu season still in full swing, I encourage all students and families to practice healthy habits—wash your hands frequently, get plenty of rest, and stay home if you're feeling unwell. A healthy school environment allows our students to be at their best both academically and socially.

Upcoming Drama Productions - We are thrilled to announce that our drama class has been working hard to prepare the student-created Comedy Show.  The performances have been postpone, so please watch for information on when they will occur.  Additionally, the department is hard at work preparing for this year’s production of Chicago! The performances will take place in April in our Bret Harte Theater. Every year our students put in incredible effort, and we hope to see a great turnout in support of their talent and dedication.

Staying on Top of Grades - As we move through the second semester, it’s essential that students keep up with their coursework and stay engaged in their learning. Parents, please check in with your students about their grades and encourage them to reach out to teachers if they need support. Resources like tutoring, office hours, and online tools are available to help students stay on track.

Course Requests for Next Year - Looking ahead, students are now selecting their courses for the upcoming school year. This is a great opportunity for them to explore new interests and challenge themselves academically. Counselors will be meeting with students to provide guidance, but we encourage families to have discussions at home about course selections, graduation requirements, and future goals.

Thank you for your partnership in making Bret Harte an incredible place for students to learn, grow, and succeed. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out."
