Students of the Month for November 2023 image

Congratulations to Bret Harte Students of the Month for November, Troy Dragomanovich and Rebecca Hungerford, who were honored at the Angels-Murphys Rotary Luncheon on Thursday, November 9. The following information was shared about each student.

Troy Dragomanovich: “If you have attended a girls volleyball match, you have met Troy even if you have been introduced. Leading the Purple Wave of Bret Harte’s student cheer section, Troy directs a positive and lively focus of Bullfrog energy, inspiring the athletes to higher performance levels. Troy shows his Bret Harte spirit as a participant in football and for four years, golf. He is also a tireless member of Yearbook. On campus. Troy has been an active member for Christians on Campus and Leadership as well as Renaissance and is an Independent Living Skill Tutor. Within the community, Troy has been a counselor for the Mark Twain Science Camp and volunteers for many years helping at BMX Races. Troy’s plans after high school is to obtain his AA in business and/or work on the pipeline, welding, HVAC, or heavy equipment. Troy loves learning about history, travelling, and cooking. No matter which direction Troy chooses, we can bet that he will transfer that Purple & Gold spirit wherever he goes."

Rebecca Hungerford: “Within the classroom or on the stage, no one would confuse Rebecca Hungerford as a shrinking violet. Rebecca has outrageously performed in and supported virtually all drama productions and musicals, placed within the top ten of the Poetry Out Loud competition, and sang in the Winter Showcase. Within the community, Rebecca volunteers for Interact, spearheading its Soles for Souls program, helps at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Murphys, and sings in her church choir. Rebecca’s plate is full. She has been an active member in Spanish Honors Society, Interact, Forestry Club, Academic Decathlon, Friday Night Live, and Art Club. Her post-secondary plans include earning her BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in computer animation with her minor in illustration at either USC, Cal Arts, Cal State Fullerton. Her career dreams are to become a story board artist/animator for Pixar or Sony. Rebecca’s focus is the study of self-expression whether it is via fashion history, video essays, or style in film. She is an innate storyteller, which has made her enjoy writing profusely. Her talents at expression will not fail to bring joy to those around her.”
