“One week ago, the Bret Hate Boys Varsity Water Polo Team competed in the highly competitive Bear Creek Water Polo Tournament, where they won five games in two days and finished the tournament by defeating the top-seeded Division 1 team from Franklin High School to become the overall tournament champion.
Just six days and two league games later, they competed in the DeLong Varsity Tournament where they faced even stiffer competition, including Division 1 opponents. After two days against very tough competition, Bret Harte Varsity Boys water Polo finished the tournament undefeated, coming home with their second tournament championship in two weeks.
That’s two tournament victories against some of the toughest teams in northern California in a period of eight days.
Since the season started three weeks ago, the Bret Harte Boys Varsity Polo has played 18 games. Their record as of today is 18 wins and no losses.
The team’s last home game is this [Thursday, October 24 at 6:00 PM]. This game will also be Senior Night, where the team’s seven extraordinary senior athletes will be honored. Come out Thursday night and watch our championship-winning team compete in what is generally acknowledged to be the toughest, most physically demanding of all sports.”
