Students of the Month for November, Mia Miro and Eli Weidmann

Congratulations to the Students of the Month for November, Mia Miro and Eli Weidmann, who were honored at the Angels-Murphys Rotary luncheon today November 7 in Murphys. The following information was shared about Mia and Eli.

Mia Miro: “Mia is one of those leaders who sees a need and gets things done. Listen to her list of who, why and when: Demonstrating long-term commitment, this spring Mia will have completed her fourth year as score keeper for the varsity baseball team. She has also served multiple years in the school’s Leadership team and Renaissance program. She has also provided leadership as class president during her soph/junior/senior, plus also ASB and Renaissance vice president. Mia has served the community via camp counselor for Mark Twain science camp, worked in the Badger Up program, worked with the Soroptimist Society, and volunteered for the Cancer Support Softball game. Mia has not finalized her destination after high school but has narrowed it down to a change-of scenery distance of Washington, Texas, and New York, where she will major in NICU/neo-natal program and minor in journalism. We can count for Mia to be a progressive problem solver in making the world a better place.”

Eli Weidmann: “You may have Eli in his unrestrained best as he leads the purple and gold fans at home volleyball matches. Eli is a true Bullfrog, who does not hesitate in his positive involvement at school. He is a member of California Scholastic Federation and President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Eli played basketball his first two years at Bret Harte but has since hyper focused his skill and passion to golf. Within the community, Eli has shared his enthusiasm with volunteering with youth golf programs. Eli has zeroed in on continuing his love for golf into college by selecting St. John’s University for his post-secondary leap. There Eli will major in sports management, after which he plans to intertwine the business side of golf along with that of a professional player. Eli will not forgo the opportunity to grow the fellowship which brings joy to all around.”
