"Dear Parent/Guardians of the Senior Class of 2025, I am pleased to announce the local scholarship program is now open! Last year, seniors were awarded over $250,000 in scholarships… amazing! Scholarships are made possible by the generosity of our donors and community. Bret Harte Union High School District is privileged to award scholarships to our current seniors to further their academic and career goals after they graduate.
This week, Superintendent Nanik and I visited Economics/Governments classes to explain the application process to all seniors on campus. You can review the complete presentation, along with accessing all required forms and instructions, on our website at https://www.brethartebullfrogs.org/o/bhhs/page/scholarships. With over 80 organizations providing a diversity of scholarship opportunities, please encourage your student to review the entire list of scholarships, apply for multiple scholarships, and take time crafting thoughtful essays. We encourage students to have their applications proofread by a teacher, parent, and/or friend prior to submitting.
Scholarship applications must be submitted online at https://bretharte.awardsplatform.com, utilizing the student's school email address to establish an account in advance of uploading applications, essays and other required documents. Seniors will have three full weeks to complete their applications with a submission deadline of 3:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2025 - NO EXCEPTIONS!
SAVE THE DATE: The Class of 2025 Scholarship Night is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 6:30 PM in the Bret Harte Theater. Students selected to receive at least one scholarship will receive an invitation in early May.
