Bret Harte Wrestling brought home two more blue banners at the CIF Sac-Joaquin D5 boys wrestling tournament on Saturday, February 15 in San Andreas. Senior Manny Bettencourt is the D5 128lb Section Champ with a 16-7 win over Hughson in the finals. Junior Ryan Lee is the 134lb D5 Section Champ with a 7-6 win over Escalon in the finals.
In Ceres today, junior Peyton Lawrence took bronze at CIF Sac-Joaquin Section girls southern regional wrestling tournament with a pin in the 140lb medal match over Golden Valley in the first period.
Bettencourt, Lee, and Lawrence will continue their post-season journey to the Section’s Masters tournament scheduled to begin Friday, February 21 at the Adventist Health Arena in Stockton.
