Congratulations to January’s students of the month, Caroline Krpan and Carston Weidmann, who were honored at the Angels-Murphys Rotary luncheon today/Thursday, January 19, 2023.
“If there is a word phrase that comes to mind for Caroline’s approach to school and life, it is total engagement. Caroline can never be confused as a wallflower or bystander in and out of class. She can always be counted on full participation with insightful questions and comments as needed. Outside the classroom, Caroline has displayed leadership in both tennis and golf, and balances everything while serving as president for FFA. She has also been a member of CSF and Circle of Friends. Caroline has served on the Junior Fair board, and chaired BOAC. Caroline’s target colleges include Loyola Marymount, USC, University of San Diego, and UC Santa Barbara. She plans to major in Environmental Science with a focus on developing solutions for water pollution. Caroline is an avid reader which certainly contributes to her ability to obtain a wide perspective.”
“Carston is another Bullfrog leader who demonstrates via not his words, but his actions, but like Caroline, he is not hesitant to speak out as needed. Carston is unhesitant in helping peers for academic support demonstrating patience across the board. Carston is an active member of CSF and FCA. He represents Bret Harte proudly on the diamond and court via baseball and basketball and serves as a drummer within his church. It therefore may not surprise us say that Carston plans to attend Belmont University in Nashville where he will major in his passion of audio engineering. It is also no surprise that Carston and his musical peers have produced an album entitled, Holding Onto Maybe”.
