CLASS OF 2023: "Good afternoon, it is hard to believe, but the end of the school year is right around the corner, and for our graduating seniors, that means the end of their high school career. This is a time of reflection and celebration. One of the most cherished celebrations we have is our graduation ceremony. This year, the Bret Harte Union High School graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 2, beginning at 7:30pm on Dorroh Field. In order for students to participate in the Graduation Ceremony, students must first successfully meet all of the graduation requirements. Additionally, we will hold mandatory graduation practices on Wednesday, May 31, and Thursday, June 1, from 8:30am - 10:30am. In order for a student to participate in the Graduation Ceremony, students are required to attend both practices. If a student does not attend those practices, the student will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony on Friday, June 2. Although the thought of saying farewell to our seniors comes with mixed emotions, we are thoroughly excited to celebrate their accomplishments with the collimating event of Graduation. In celebration, a Senior Pancake Breakfast for students only will take place on Wednesday before Graduation Practice at 8AM in the MPR. We look forward to seeing you there." - Jacob Holt, Principal

Student fees (library, textbooks, athletic uniforms, etc.) not cleared by the end of the school year will be posted on the Student and/or Parent Portal, found on the school's website or at https://bretharteca.Infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/bret_harte.jsp.
District-issued Chromebooks and corresponding chargers are to remain with the student for the duration of their enrollment as a Bret Harte student. Students NOT returning for the 2023/2024 school year, it's your responsibility to return your District-issued Chromebook and corresponding charger to Tech, located next to the District Office at 323 S Main Street. ATHLETICS: The annual Sports Physicals Event kicks off tomorrow/Wednesday, May 24 beginning with girls at 3:15 PM followed by boys at 4:00 PM at the James Dalton Medical Office in Angels Camp. This is available to all returning Bret Harte students and incoming freshman. Parent/guardian must attend with their student-athlete if under 18 years of age. Cost is $25. CLASS OF 2023: If you are planning to attend Columbia College in the fall, mark your calendars for the LAST financial aid application workshops scheduled for May 9 and May 25. Students who do not attend must meet with a financial aid specialist or their MEOC Specialist individually during business hours.
As a reminder, students planning to attend college MUST complete a financial aid application for the Promise Scholarship, no matter which college they attend.
The application workshops will be held in person on the Columbia College campus. We will also provide a Zoom link for those that cannot make it to our campus for in person help.
