CLASS OF 2024: "Seniors and Parent/Guardians, Graduating seniors have two choices when it comes to their cap and gown for the Class of 2024 Commencement Ceremony. Seniors can purchase either a purple gown with a coordinating gold stole OR a gold gown with a coordinating purple stole. If you would like to change your mind, it is not too late even if you already placed a Jostens order. Please contact Ms. Fitzgerald at dfitzgerald@bhuhsd.k12.ca.us or 209 736-8315 no later than 2:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024! Remember If you do not wish to purchase a cap and gown, the school will have loaners in both color combinations. WINTER FORMAL: ”A semi-formal dance will be held at Ironstone in the Caves on January 13th, 2024 from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. (Dress warm it is an outside, covered venue). Desserts and drinks will be provided for students. Parking will be in the lot to the left of the Ironstone entrance. Ticket sales will begin at lunch in the Quad on December 11th and go until January 10th. December 11th- December 21st, tickets are available for sale, $20 with an ASB sticker, $25 without. The last 3 days of sales (January 8th-10th) ticket prices will rise to $30 with an ASB sticker and $35 without an ASB sticker! Guest passes are due to the office by 3 PM Monday, January 8th. You must have an approved guest pass back from the BH office before you can buy a guest ticket. Therefore, think ahead, the guest pass application process takes a few days AND requires approval from the guest’s school. Many schools may be out during December, however guest passes can be picked up from the office at any time, even now. Any class may buy a Winter Formal dance ticket and go as long as they do not owe fees to the school or are on social probation. Grades are not a factor for dances. No exceptions to guest pass or ticket sales deadlines.” - BH Leadership

COURTESY POST: “A group of volunteers have been planning a Grad Night to provide all seniors a sober night after graduation with all kinds of activities and entertainment. Of course these activities and prizes cost money and we have decided to hold a drive thru dinner fundraiser on January 31st. We hope that if you could not make any of the planning meetings if you could please show up Monday night 12.18.23, 6 PM at Round Table to pick up some tickets to sell for the drive thru dinner. If you are unavailable to sell tickets; the dinner is for four people and includes a whole chicken, quart of mashed potatoes, Taylor Farms packaged salad mix, rolls, and cookies for 50$. Pick up will be from 5PM-7PM at Copello Park on January 31st. Thank you.”

ATHLETIC CONTEST UPDATE 12/11/23: Bret Harte Boys Soccer will host Central Catholic this evening at 5:30 PM, varsity only. The JV game has been canceled. Gate opens at 5:00 PM. Standard League admission applies. As well, Girls Basketball will host Oakdale with a 5:30 PM start for JV followed by Varsity at 7:00 PM. Good luck Bullfrogs!

TERM 2 PROGRESS GRADES: "Good afternoon, Last Friday, November 17, 2023 marked the halfway point of the second quarter of the 2023-24 school year. Therefore, progress grades are issued to give students and their parent/guardians an overview of their overall performance thus far in the grading period. Please refer to the Parent and/or Student Portal to view your student's "2nd Quarter Progress Report." From the Main Menu, select Documents > "2nd Qtr Progress Report" for the current school year. IF YOUR STUDENT IS RECEIVING A D OR F ON THIS REPORT, THEY MAY BE AT RISK OF FAILING. Your student is considered academically ineligible and may not participate in sports if he/she has a GPA of less than 2.0, has 2 F's, 2 INC's or an F & an INC on their report card. If you have questions regarding your student's grade, please contact the instructor directly. Teacher contact information can be found on our website under Staff Directory. Effective January 2023, all student progress and report cards must be accessed on the Portal and will no longer be mailed home. If you need assistance with Portal access, please contact Technology at igrycel@bhuhsd.k12.ca.us. Include the student(s) and parent/guardian names in correspondence."
